Hello and I noticed you are in the United Kingdom
Some how you have to stay in there and fight for your kids sake and keep trying.. Salvation Army and United Way are world wide so you may want to check with them. If I come across others I will let you know..
My advice is to go to google.com and type in what you are searching for because in the states we have different resources than you and to look for help with rent, food banks and jobs the latter type in free classifieds and craigslist is a great source..
And check out womenforhire.com as I don't know if it is just for the states or not..
hang in there
hugs

in response to second chanceplz...   How to Get Financial Assistance for Low Income Families
By jaredsgirl, eHow Member
I want to do this! What's This? Get Financial Assistance for Low Income Families
www.sharingcenter.org User-Submitted Article
With the recent trouble in the economy, day to day living has become tough and finances are tighter than ever. People are being laid off of work, gas prices are back on the rise, and groceries are at their highest price ever. How do we survive in an economy that is threatening our financial wellness? With the help of government programs, there are ways to get financial assistance and stay afloat until times get better.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Computer
Internet
1

If you've recently been laid off from your job, the first thing you should do is to apply for unemployment compensation. Do this as soon as you know your being laid off. Search the internet for your state's unemployment compensation site (ex: type, "California unemployment compensation"). You can apply right online by following the easy steps. You will have to claim the weeks you are off of work biweekly...two weeks at a time. Check out the resource list for more information.

2

If the economy has you struggling to make ends meet and pay your bills on time, try applying for assistance with your utilities. LIHEAP offers energy and fuel assistance for individuals who qualify. Each state has different income guidelines. Search the internet for "energy assistance" under your state. You can also check out the resource list below for more information on energy assistance.

3

Those that are laid off of work become concerned with losing health insurance. With the economy in trouble, there has been much talk about help for the uninsured. Health insurance assistance is available to help bridge the gap when you've lost your job. Check out your local public assistance office for more information or search for "health insurance assistance" by state on the internet. Medicaid (medical assistance) is available for those that qualify. See the resource list below for more information.

4

Losing your job can be very difficult and sometimes accepting help is a bit humbling. But it's important to realize that you've worked hard for that assistance and deserve it in time of need. There is assistance available for purchasing food with an EBT card or cash assistance. You can check out the public assistance office in your area for more information. You can also check online by searching for your state's "public assistance office". Each state has it's own set of income guidelines.

5

You can also check out your local food pantry for help with feeding your family. Food pantries, such as The Salvation Army, offer boxes of food weekly for those in need. There are also soup kitchens available that offer three meals a day to families who are suffering financial burdens. Check online by state for the food pantries and soup kitchens near you. You can also check the resource list below.

First of all, try JESUS.  You have the right to live a life the is fullfilling and without distress, but you must go to the source of your problem which is you.  You don't need continuing in another relationship until you get your self together. Until then, let you life shine unto the Lord and this will influence your children.  There is HUD out there. I don't know where you live and I'm sure you know about HUD-they will assist with your rent. You could also try MODEST NEED. This company will help you with paying some of your bills.  I found this company online. Try modestneeds.org.

Hope this will help you. Remember you first need to asked GOD for forgiveness of your sins and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross but rose again for your sins.  God loves you and I so much that he sent his only son to died on the cross for our sins. See you need the hope of Jesus in your life to avoid the deep feelings of hopelessness. We go through things and wonder why, but with the love of Jesus, we can go through problems and not feel hopeless, even when our children are out of control.  Just let your life influence your children's life. Most of all always PRAY and read your bible.

Hi Missy Miss,

I am not familiar with how the UK handles their welfare system.  However, it sounds like you know more than most of how it operates.

You should be looking closer to where you are for all the help you need with you and your children.

I feel really bad for you...seven children are a lot of responsibility.  I feel bad for your children even more so.  What are their ages?  How many boy's and girls?  When is the last time you were employed?

What is your Social Services like in UK?  Do they provide  family counseling?   Your children need you more than ever right now.  They need to feel safe and secure.  Every body makes mistakes, that is how we learn.  I was always told that If you learn from your mistakes and not repeat them....then they weren't really mistakes, just learning sessions.

In a month you are going to be a Grandmother!  All you can do now Missy, is be there for your daughter and take one step at a time in helping her through this.  Make sure that she knows and uses birth control from now on.

There are many organizations that will help your children and you too!  Not knowing what their ages and gender are, it is hard to recommend certain programs.

Have you got a restraining order against your husband yet?  Also, why did YOU and your children have to move from the housing that YOU secured AFTER leaving your boyfriend?  I would have thought HE would be the one to leave, since you were the one to secure it and he was added after the fact.

Please let us know what needs we might be able to help you locate.  Things are hard for most of us in these transitional times.   If we can try to help each other with our prayers and kind words, sometimes that is all that is needed.... is to know that we are not alone.

You will be in my prayers Missy!  Your children too.  I will search and see what I can find closer to you in the ways of help.  Don't give up....you've got to be here for your children and grandchild!  You can sign up to work with Aidpage!  Just hit the right side corner on this page where it says to become a contributor for Aidpage.  It will tell you what to do to sign up.  Take care Missy.  Look forward to hearing back from you.
